Overview
The Rugova Gorge cuts west out of Peja into the Accursed Mountains, and the via ferrata route — installed in 2014 — climbs 200 m up the gorge wall on a fixed steel cable with iron rungs. It is rated B/C (moderate) — manageable for anyone with reasonable fitness and no fear of exposure, but a guide is required (and the standard package includes harness, helmet, and lanyards). Half a day on the rock plus a return walk gives you the full route with photography stops. Peja town for lunch after.
